Reaching Out Is NumberOne

Posted on Posted in Affiliate Marketing, How To's, Mindset

Honestly, approaching someone online has got to be one of the biggest challenges people face. I know, I’m challenged by this too … but it doesn’t have to be something that causes you to retreat.

If you’re an online marketer you have to roll up your sleeves and dive into the world of conversation through messaging, Skyping, and texting. It’s really not different from anything else done in the “real” world.

Waiting for people to come to you, I can tell you it’s not going to happen. YOU have to reach-out.

Here’s the RIGHT way:

  • Reply to the comments you get on your blog
  • Reply to comments you receive on social media (Facebook, etc.)
  • NEVER pitch your opportunity first. This is a MAJOR TURN OFF
  • Initiate, initiate, imitate

The two most common reasons people don’t reach out is –

  1. I don’t know what to say (sure you do)
  2. I can’t do that (sure you can)

We are our own worst enemy and we hold ourselves back – no one else does. So give it a try.

BUILD (1)

Be on the caring side… and you’ll never go wrong.

One thing I can tell you for sure… if you don’t reach out, no one will know who you are or worse – even care.

  1. Hi Lesly,

It’s so important to be friendly and genuine. If you’re not being honest it will be very hard for people to trust you. Making a relationship is first and not reaching out will be the first mistake.

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Great post Lesly!
The fear of being ignored or having judgement upon us stops many at their keyboards.
Getting started is the key and once we do, it becomes highly addictive 😀
Yes, I have more work to do but it is fun!

  3. Hi Lesly

You are so right and that was the first mistake I made in my own journey. I just got the idea that when I write, people would just come to my blog. It never happened.

I had to create a conversation with others. Thanks for sharing this awesome post. Take care.

  4. Hi Lesly,

Wonderful advice. It does get easier, the more you reach out. You also have to be prepared that some will not respond to you and just move on. I’ve learned so much from you and I thank you very much.

    Have a great day 🙂
