If you’d like to increase “Likes” and traffic to your Facebook Fan Page, creating Video Memes is a way to do just that .
Now if you don’t know what a “meme” is, here’s a very nice description of them by Paul Gil from netforbeginners.about.com :
“”meme” is a virally-transmitted cultural symbol or social idea. A meme (rhymes with “team”) behaves like a flu or a cold virus, traveling from person to person quickly, but transmitting an idea instead of a lifeform. According to Cecil Adams of theStraightDope.com, the concept of memes “is either really deep, or really, really obvious …” Paul Gil
Memes have been around for a long time. Before the internet, memes traveled in the form of stories or fables spread through word of mouth.
Today however, and with lightning speed, memes travel fast with a click of a mouse.
Mostly humorous or reflective in content, they’re everywhere and I’m sure you’ve seen them – you know, an image with a brief statement provoking an emotional response in the viewer. Here’s one:
Because video is HUGE, and I mean huge (I’ve never seen such a wave of video programs and software offered online before), it makes total sense to create video memes! And it’s EASY!
What you need:
- A video editing software program like Camtasia
- Royalty free video clips that you can buy. Video Blocks is a good resource
- Royalty free music. YouTube has a good, free, music clips you can download
People LOVE to watch videos, so imagine how creating quick, simple, video memes can boost your visibility online because of sharing and “liking”.
Always remember to put your name and website on it (your signature) so viewers know where it came from and who created it, as well as where to find you.
So where did I learn about this? A very simple program was just released called “Social Video Memes” you can find it on JVzoo ( I am not an Affiliate for this product) , or info about it on You Tube.
Like my video meme above?
Alright .. have fun with this!
